US President Donald Trump has received a setback from the Supreme Court. The US Supreme Court has dismissed Trump’s lawsuit, accusing him of rigging the presidential elections in Texas, questioning Joe Biden’s victory.
According to the news agency Reuters, the court said in its order that Texas has no reasonable basis to file cases against Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The case was filed on Tuesday by the Republican Attorney General of Texas and Trump’s aide. The Republican President on Wednesday filed a motion to intervene in the matter.

Judge Samuel Alito and Judge Clarence Thomas said they had allowed Texas to prosecute but the four states were not prevented from finalizing their election results.
When there was no immediate response from the White House on this issue, a Biden spokesman said that it is no surprise that the High Court rejected Trump’s baseless efforts.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, said in a tweet that the Supreme Court of our country looked through the case to see how the electoral process was tried as a seditious misuse. He said that Trump has falsely claimed that he won the election and made unfounded allegations of rigging in the election.
