Washington: US President Donald Trump has pardoned 29 people, including former aides and his father-in-law’s father, who were convicted in the Robert Mueller investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election. Among those whom Trump pardoned Wednesday were Roger Stone and Paul Manafort, who were convicted in the Robert Mueller investigation.
On behalf of the White House it was said, “Today, President Trump has completely forgiven Paul Manafort. He was sentenced after an investigation by Special Counsel Robert Müller regarding Russian intervention. Manafort has already served a two-year prison sentence. “He said,” Today President Trump has also given Roger Stone an unconditional full pardon. Stone is 68 years old and also has many health concerns. ”
Trump also pardoned his son-in-law Jared Kushner’s father Charles Kushner (66)
The White House said, “Since completing his sentence in 2006, Charles Kushner has been working for important philanthropic organizations.” These works of reform and charity are much bigger than his allegations. Kushner was sentenced to two years in prison for preparing fake tax returns, threatening a witness and making false statements to the FEC.
Earlier, at the beginning of the month, Trump had also forgiven 20 other people. In November, Trump also pardoned former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.
