US Presidential Election:The election battle for the 47th President of America has now reached its final stage. Elections are to be held on Tuesday, i.e. 5 November, while the next day, i.e. 6 November, it will be known who will be the next President to sit in the White House.

In America, the counting of votes in the presidential election usually continues for the next several days, but media houses usually declare the winner on the night of the election or the next day based on the trends and figures of the voting figures and results. To win the election, a candidate needs 270 votes of the electoral college.

Close competition between Harris and Trump

In the latest surveys related to the US presidential election, there is a close contest between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. 60-year-old Kamala Harris is the presidential candidate from the Democratic Party while 78-year-old Donald Trump is the Republican Party’s candidate for the presidency. Recent surveys indicate that the election will be decided by the results of seven states – Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia. Out of these, Michigan and Pennsylvania play an important role in reaching the figure of 270.

Polls by The New York Times and Siena College found Harris gaining strength in North Carolina and Georgia, while Trump has halted her lead in Pennsylvania and maintained his lead in Arizona. According to The New York Times, polls show Harris now has a slight lead in Nevada, North Carolina and Wisconsin, while Trump is ahead in Arizona. “The polls show a neck-and-neck race in Michigan, Georgia and Pennsylvania,” the paper reported.
