Trump said the US government knows the truth, but, for some reason, they want to keep people guessing.
The US President-elect said Donald Trump Joe Biden administration knows More about the drones that have raised alarms over parts of the country than you know with the public.
“They know where it came from and where it went,” Trump said. “And for some reason, they don’t want to comment. I think it would be better if they said, ‘What is it?’ Our military knows, our president knows. And for some reason, they want to keep people guessing.”
Trump took questions for more than an hour on a range of topics. He began his remarks by announcing that SoftBank would make a $100 billion investment in the United States that would create 100,000 jobs focused on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
SoftBank plans to complete the work before Trump leaves office in 2029, according to a person familiar with the matter, according to To abc news.
What did Trump say about TikTok?
Asked about a potential ban on TikTok unless new ownership is found, he said he has a “warm spot in my heart for TikTok,” because of the impact it had on him winning a larger share of the youth vote than he did in 2016.
A federal appeals court last week rejected TikTok’s attempt to halt the pending ban and halt the January 19 sale deadline.
“TikTok had an impact,” Trump said. “So we’re looking at it. I don’t know why, but we ended up, there was one poll that showed us down about 30 points. We were up 35 or 36 points with young people, so I have a little bit of a warm spot in my heart.”
Pardon Eric Adams
Trump also said he would “take a look” at pardoning New York Mayor Eric Adams, who was indicted on bribery charges last September.
“I think he was treated very unfairly,” Trump added, suggesting the charges were in retaliation for Adams speaking out against the influx of immigrants into the country.
Border wall
While Trump described the transition from the Biden administration to his incoming administration as “amicable,” he called for a change in policy on the border wall, claiming that the White House was trying to auction off border wall materials.
“This has nothing to do with a smooth transition,” he said. “This has nothing to do with people who are really trying to shut down our nation, and all it really means is we’re going to spend hundreds of millions of dollars more, and we’re not even talking about how long it’s going to take.”
“It’s almost criminal,” he claimed, lamenting that border wall materials are being sold for “5 cents on the dollar.”
