US President Donald Trump is continuously making big statements one after the other. The US President has once again made a big claim. Trump says that Moscow has agreed to negotiate due to the tariff imposed on India for buying oil from Russia.

US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are scheduled to have an important meeting in Alaska on Friday. Before the meeting, US President Donald Trump has made a big claim. Trump has said that Moscow has agreed to negotiate because of the tariff imposed on India for buying oil from Russia. He said that if Russia did not do so, it could lose its ‘second largest customer’.

What did Trump say?

Trump said in an interview to Fox News, “I think everything has an impact.” Trump claimed that when he told India that “we will charge you because you are buying oil from Russia” then in this situation “they (India) had to stop buying oil from Russia.” The US President said, “Then they (Russia) called, and wanted to meet. We will see what happens from this meeting. But certainly when you lose your second largest customer, and maybe you can lose your first largest customer as well, then I think that will also have a role.”

India has made its stand clear

The US President said, “India was the second largest customer, and was getting very close to China. China is the biggest buyer of Russian oil.” Meanwhile, India said on Thursday that it has not stopped buying oil from Russia after the US President’s tariff threat and continues to buy for purely economic reasons.

Trump has warned Russia

Meanwhile, let us also tell you here that US President Donald Trump has made big statements before as well. Recently, he said that if Russian President Vladimir Putin does not agree to stop the war during the talks in Alaska, then he will have to face ‘very serious consequences’. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has shown restraint and praised US President Donald Trump’s efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
