US President Joe Biden will once again formally impose travel restrictions related to Covid-19 on Monday.
Washington. US President Joe Biden on Monday will once again formally impose travel restrictions associated with Covid-19 on non-US travelers from Brazil, Ireland, Britain and 26 other European countries. Two White House officials gave this information on condition of anonymity. He also informed that South Africa will also be included in the list of banned countries in view of the threat of new forms of the virus.
Former US President Donald Trump spoke of lifting the travel ban in the last days of his term. Biden’s decision to reverse this order is not surprising, but the decision to include South Africa in it underscores the new administration’s concern about the virus. Although not a single case of the new form of corona virus which has been reported in South Africa has been reported in the US, but cases of the new format which have been exposed in Britain have been reported in many states.
