New Delhi: The war between Iran-backed terrorist organization Hezbollah and Israel continues. Israel is wreaking havoc on Hezbollah. At the same time, America is clearly standing with Israel.

But this week US President Joe Biden spoke bluntly on the Israel-Iran war. Joe Biden said that America would not support an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear site in response to Iran’s ballistic missile. But now former US President Donald Trump has given a big statement. From which it can be clearly understood that if Trump is re-elected to power, then on which side America will stand in this war.

Trump said on Friday that he believes Israel should attack Iran’s nuclear facilities in response to the recent missile attack. The former president was speaking at an election campaign event in North Carolina. Trump referred to a question asked to Democratic President Joe Biden. Trump said when he asked him this question, his answer should have been, launch a nuclear attack first and worry about the rest later.

Trump gave a blunt answer

Trump said, ‘They asked him, what do you think about Iran, would you attack Iran? And he said, ‘Unless they attack with nuclear weapons.’ That’s the thing you want to hit, right?’ Let us tell you that on Wednesday, Biden was asked if he would support such an attack, to which he simply answered the question ‘no’.

Amid rising tensions, top US State Department officials told CNN that Israel has not given the Biden administration any assurances that it will not target Iran’s nuclear facilities. The official said it is “really hard to say” whether Israel will use the anniversary of Hamas’ October 7 attacks to retaliate.

The US is in constant contact with Israel

During a press briefing on Friday, Biden assured that United States officials are in contact with their Israeli counterparts “12 hours a day.” “We will discuss with the Israelis what they are going to do,” the president said on Wednesday, adding that all G7 members agree that Israel “has the right to respond, but they should respond only as much as is necessary.”
