The war in Gaza has been going on for the past 11 months. The US has been trying for many months with Egypt and Qatar to stop this war. But this deal could not be done due to the conditions of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. US President Joe Biden is very worried after the bodies of Israeli hostages were found in the tunnel of Gaza on Saturday.

According to the information, Biden is preparing a new proposal on which Hamas and Israel can be convinced. According to the report of Axios, US President Joe Biden can present this new proposal to Israel and Hamas this week which will be related to ceasefire in Gaza and release of hostages.

Biden is concerned about finding the bodies of hostages

In fact, on Saturday, the Israeli army recovered the bodies of 6 hostages from a tunnel, one of whom was an American citizen. After finding the bodies of the hostages, pressure has increased on the Biden administration for an immediate ceasefire, the Biden administration wants to reach an agreement as soon as possible so that the remaining hostages can be released.

White House security adviser Jake Sullivan has told the families of American hostages held by Hamas that President Biden will meet with the national security team on Monday to determine the strategy for a final agreement.

The proposal also mentions the Philadelphia Corridor

According to the information, Hamas and Israel will have a week’s time to respond to this proposal. Along with this, there will also be a proposal regarding the Philadelphi Corridor. Due to which America hopes that Hamas and Egypt will definitely accept this proposal. Actually, both Hamas and Egypt are against the presence of Israeli army on the Philadelphi Corridor. While Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that despite the ceasefire deal, his army will remain deployed on this corridor.

The deal was stuck due to a corridor

Actually, the Philadelphi Corridor is a narrow strip between Egypt and Gaza, which is about 14 kilometers long. Netanyahu believes that the Israeli army’s control over this corridor is very important to prevent Hamas from getting armed again. At the same time, the only way to connect Gaza to the outside world is the Rafah border on this corridor. This route is used for any kind of humanitarian aid and movement in Gaza. In such a situation, both Hamas and Egypt are against Israel’s control over this route. This is the reason why despite all the efforts and many meetings in August, ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel could not be reached.

About 100 hostages are in the custody of Hamas

On 7 October, Hamas attacked Israel, Israel claims that about 1200 people were killed in this attack. Hamas also took more than 200 people hostage. According to the Israeli army, there are still about 100 hostages in the custody of Hamas and efforts are on to bring them back home. At the same time, the people of Israel believe that the return of the hostages can be possible only through a ceasefire deal, so the families of the hostages and thousands of Israeli citizens are demanding from Prime Minister Netanyahu that he should make a ceasefire deal with Hamas.
