Washington. For the first time, the biggest ever National Security Advisor (NSA)-level meeting between India and the US, the Initiative for Critical and Emerging Technology (ICET), is being held in Washington. It is being organized by the US-India Business Council (USIBC). Under this, India and America are going to work on 6 such big points, which will benefit the whole world.
However, China has become very worried about this round table conference, because the ICET strategy of India and America will work to destroy the trick of trickster countries like China. US Security Advisor Sullivan has said that ICET will accelerate America’s strategic technology partnership with India.

He said that this initiative will accelerate America’s technology partnership with India and strategic convergence and policy alignment. India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is meeting with his counterpart Sullivan at the White House. Its outline was decided in May 2022 during an important meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden in Tokyo.
The two countries mentioned ICET for the first time in a joint statement. India and the United States hope that this meeting will lay the foundation for the development of a trusted partner ecosystem between the corporate sectors of the two countries, so that the public-private partnerships that both countries thrive on the culture of startups will promote scientific research and technology. To successfully face the challenges arising due to authoritarian regimes in the region.

Many important discussions in the round table conference
ICET is much more than technology collaboration, Sullivan said on Monday at a high-level roundtable organized by the US India Business Council (USIBC) of the US Chambers of Commerce. It is a platform to accelerate our strategic convergence and policy alignment. US Commerce Minister Gina Raimondo and Doval also participated in this round table conference.
Sullivan said the US and Indian governments would make a “list of priorities” “first to remove barriers on both sides, to enable ambition of all.” The Indian Embassy in the US tweeted, “Gina Ramondo, Doval and Jake Sullivan met representatives of industry, academia and think tanks at a roundtable organized by the US India Business Council (USIBC) of the US Chambers of Commerce.”
Had a detailed discussion on the India-US ecosystem of trusting partnership. Besides Doval, India’s Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu underlined India’s remarkable potential for technology development and absorption.
The meeting is very important according to the strategy
The ICET is the first high-level meeting between Ajit Doval and his US counterpart Jake Sullivan, which could prove to be a “strategic enabler”. This is likely to take Indo-US relations to a new level.
The Indian delegation includes 5 Secretary level officials and corporate leadership of Indian companies who are doing some of the cutting edge research in India. The five officers are Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Chairman S.
Somnath, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Prime Minister Ajay Kumar Sood, Scientific Advisor to the Defense Minister G. Satheesh Reddy, Secretary in the Department of Telecommunications K. Rajaram and Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) ) is Director General Sameer V.Kamat.

biggest competition with china
Richard M. Rosso, Wadhwani Chair in US India Policy Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies think tank, said, “There are a lot of expectations from the ICET meeting. The ultimate objective is to work together to improve our respective capabilities in building technologies for the next century in competition with China.
The six areas that India and the US have identified for cooperation under the ICET include scientific research and development, quantum artificial intelligence (AI), defense innovation, space and advanced communication methods such as 6G and semiconductors. Also, the cooperation between the two countries will be based on the principle of co-development and co-production, which is gradually being implemented by Quad (strategic grouping of US, India, Australia, Japan), then NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) and then Europe and Will be expanded to the rest of the world.
Its objective is to provide cutting-edge technologies to the rest of the world, which are comparatively much cheaper.
