Situation worsens due to increase in unemployment
According to this report, unemployment has been increasing rapidly since the outbreak of the epidemic and the number of needy to eat in America is increasing very fast. The number of people dependent on the government’s help for daily food has now doubled in America compared to June. Feeding America Network has distributed 54.8 crore food packets in a month. This is 52% higher than before the epidemic started. This institution used to provide food to an average of 500 people every year just before Christmas in the city. Whereas this time the figure has increased to 8,500. The institution has told that wherever they are doing programs to distribute such food, there is a line of several kilometers.
Help being provided through the community model
It has been reported in this report that the condition of people of Black, Asian and Latin-American community is very bad. People in America are now helping each other to deal with the food crisis. People have installed community fridges in many places. Those who do not have food can take food free from these fridges. The responsibility of one fridge has been entrusted to two people. Apart from this, hunger is also being helped through social media groups. There are only 1.20 lakh people in New York, who have assets of 5 million dollars (about 36 crores rupees) or more. However, during the epidemic, the New York Food Bank distributed 7.7 million food packets. This is 70% more than any other year.

No burials and burial places in California
Due to Corona virus in America, the situation is getting worse from bad. The outbreak of the virus has increased so much that there is no space left for the dead bodies in the funeral sites. An organization of funeral sites in South California has said that they have to return the bereaved families because there are piles of dead bodies and no more remains of dead bodies.
Magda Meldonado of Continental Funeral Homes in Los Angeles said, “I have been working in this field for the past 40 years and I never thought that anything like this could happen.” We have to tell the families that we will not be able to take their family here. Meldonado said that an average of 30 bodies are being brought daily to the Continental Funeral Homes, which is six times more than normal. This is the situation in most funeral sites.
