Washington: An announcement has been made to establish a Chair on Jainism and Hinduism in a University of America. The Chair has been established by the University as part of its religious studies program. 24 Indian-American families have contributed to a joint bench in Jain and Hindu studies at California State University, Fresno.
A Chair on Jainism and Hinduism will be established in the Philosophy Department of the College of Arts and Humanities and will be an integral part of the University’s religious studies program. An expert professor of Jainism and Hinduism tradition will be appointed.
