US President Donald Trump has once again claimed that he stopped the war between India and Pakistan. Congress has taken a dig at this claim of Trump. Congress has said that Trump has said for the 18th time that he stopped the war between India and Pakistan.
US President Donald Trump has once claimed that he stopped the war between India and Pakistan. In a press conference held after the NATO summit in Hague, Netherlands, Trump said that both India and Pakistan have nuclear weapons. I said look, if you keep fighting each other, we will not do any trade deal. Trump said that he talked to both the countries several times about the trade deal.
Trump also claimed that Prime Minister Modi is a very good friend of mine. He is a wonderful person. I explained to him. I said, if you are going to fight, we will not do a trade deal. After this he said that I want to do a trade deal. We stopped a nuclear war. However, this is not the first time that Trump has made this claim. He has repeated this many times before.
Trump talked about stopping the war for the 18th time- Congress
Congress has taken a dig at this claim of Trump. Congress posted a video of Trump and said, ‘Trump said for the 18th time, I have stopped the war between India and Pakistan. I clearly said – if there is a war, I will not do business. The leaders of both the countries said – we want to do business, that is why we are stopping the war.’ Actually, tension increased between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
Ceasefire was announced between India and Pakistan on 10 May
To take revenge for the Pahalgam attack, India started Operation Sindoor. After this, on May 7, terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoK were attacked. 100 terrorists were killed in this attack. After this, Pakistan tried to retaliate against India. But India foiled all its attempts. Four days later, on May 10, ceasefire was declared between the two countries.
Regarding this ceasefire, Trump has claimed many times that he was the one who mediated, but the Indian government says that the ceasefire was agreed upon after the consent of India-Pak DGMO.
