Trump often attacks Obama by name, but this is the first time since he became president that he has pointed a finger at Obama with allegations of criminal action. A spokesman for Obama did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
During his speech in the Oval Office, Trump on Friday took a dig at his intelligence chief Tulsi Gabbard’s remarks in which she threatened to send her to the Justice Department to prosecute Obama administration officials over an intelligence assessment of Russian interference in the 2016 election.
