The US presidential election is turning into a contest between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. At the annual conference of the National Association of Black Journalists on Wednesday, Trump questioned Kamala Harris’s racial identity.

The audience mocked him for this. Addressing a crowd of about 1000 people, Trump said, “Kamala Harris was always of Indian origin and she was only promoting Indian origin.”

He further said, “I don’t know if she is Indian or black? But you know I respect both. But she is clearly not. She was Indian from the beginning. Suddenly she took a turn and she became a black person.” His statement has been opposed a lot.

Let us tell you that Kamala Harris has identified herself as both black and South Asian American. She is the first black and Asian American vice president. Reacting to Trump’s statement, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said, “What he just said is disgusting. It’s outrageous.”

During the panel interview, ABC News reporter Rachel Scott asked Trump why black voters should support him despite his controversial history with racially offensive remarks. Trump reacted strongly to the question, calling it horrible, hostile and insulting and labelling ABC a fake network. “I’ve been the best president for the black population since Abraham Lincoln,” Trump said.

Trump’s team released ads against Harris.

Trump’s team, while starting the election campaign, released ads calling Kamala Harris a dangerous liberal leader for the country. Trump’s team has alleged that Kamala Harris is dangerously liberal and this is not good for the country. Regarding immigrants, Kamala Harris has been accused in the ad that Harris failed to stop the invasion of illegal immigrants on America’s southern border.

Trump campaign senior adviser Daniel Alvarez said Kamala Harris’ failure has made America less safe. Migrant crime has increased, terrorists have entered through their open border, deaths from fentanyl are increasing and human trafficking is affecting every state. He said Harris is dangerously liberal and Americans are paying the price for it. Opposition Democrats have rejected these allegations.
