Joe Biden has responded to the discussions going on about the President’s health after the debate. Biden has blamed his international travels for looking weak in the debate. The President said in a fundraiser program on Tuesday, “The truth is, you know, I am not very smart. I traveled internationally before the debate and did not listen to my officials and returned to the debate. I almost fell asleep on the stage due to fatigue.”

He further said that this is not an excuse but it is a clarification.

Can Kamala Harris replace Biden?

Amid discussions about Biden’s age and health, it was being said that US Vice President Kamala Harris could replace him. According to Sky News, famous US political commentator and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson had claimed that the Democrats could soon field current Vice President Kamala Harris as the presidential candidate in place of Biden.

While giving an interview to CBC News on Tuesday, Kamala Harris said, “Look, Joe Biden is our candidate, we have defeated Trump before and we will defeat him again.”

Harris also said that she is proud to be Joe Biden’s running mate. But she refused to give a direct answer to the question whether she would replace Biden if needed.

This time, President Joe Biden from the Democratic Party and former President Donald Trump from the Republican Party are the candidates. The first presidential debate was held between the two leaders on June 28, in which both leaders targeted each other. In a CNN survey conducted after this debate, about 63 percent of the people believed that Trump had won this debate.
