According to Zillow, the deal is the most expensive sale ever in San Francisco this year. Built in 1928, the 7,386-square-foot home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, and is on the edge of the city’s Mission District and Dolores Heights neighbohoods. The sale closed on July 1, but records of the transaction have just become publicly available.

According to records from PropertyShark, the Facebook-cum-meta co-founders, 38, and his wife, 37, bought the home in 2012 through SFRP, a California-based limited liability company, for less than $10 million. A grant deed between seller and buyer was signed by Naeem Salam, Vice President of Operations for the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative on behalf of SFRP.

Although a representative for the organization has confirmed the deal, Zuckerberg and Ms Chen were not available for comment.

The buyer was a limited liability company based in Delaware, PropertyShark records show. Mansion Global was unable to identify the buyer further, but Michael M. Gordon was listed as a liaison to the LLC. He did not immediately return a request for comment.

The Wall Street Journal reported that when the couple bought the home 10 years ago, it was about 1,800 square feet small and its sale price set a record for the Mission District, when San Francisco was seeing early signs of a tech takeover. Had been. it’s those days
