LONDON: Oil prices edged higher yesterday, underpinned by strong demand during the northern hemisphere summer driving season and a pause in talks to revive the Iran nuclear deal that could lead to a resumption of crude supplies from the Opec producer.
Brent crude for August gained 14 cents, or 0.2 per cent, to $73.65 a barrel. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for July was up 21 cents, or 0.3pc, at $71.85 a barrel.
