Political crisis deepens in Pakistan, resignation of opposition MPs, till 31 all MPs will resign

Islamabad, Agencies. The political crisis in Pakistan is deepening. Opposition parties have started resigning. Two MPs took the initiative on Wednesday. All opposition MPs will resign by 31 December. In connection with the rally to be held in Lahore on November 13, the police has said that terrorists may target some big leaders including Maryam Nawaz.

Opposition politics in Pakistan is increasing the trouble of the Imran government. Now the opposition has decided to mass resign the MPs to paralyze the Parliament and the government. Punjab Province MP of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Ali Hyder Gilani has submitted his resignation to party president Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. PML-N MP Hamid Hameed has also resigned.

Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Fazlur Rahman, an alliance of 11 opposition parties, has said that all party MPs will submit their resignations to their party presidents by 31 December. All parties have taken a collective decision on this. No day has been decided in relation to when the mass resignations will be submitted in Parliament.

PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif spoke to PPP vice-president Asif Ali Zardari regarding the mass resignations. The PPP was in a dilemma over the mass resignations. PPP has also agreed to this decision after talking to Nawaz.

In connection with the rally in Lahore on 13 November, the police has issued an alert that terrorists can target many big leaders including opposition leader Maryam Nawaz. Opposition parties should postpone the rally in terms of security. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has accused the opposition parties of aggravating the Corona epidemic by calling a crowd at the rally.
