The three memorandums were signed with prominent American companies to promote low-carbon energy. The agreements include the use of innovative technologies to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions.

She declared Aramco Saudi Arabia, today about Signing three memorandums An understanding with leading American companies aimed at promoting the development of low-carbon energy solutions.

The signing ceremony for these memorandums took place yesterday, in the presence of the Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, and Jennifer Granholm, the US Secretary of Energy.

Regarding these memorandums, Aramco’s Senior Vice President for Coordination and Technical Supervision, Ali Al-Mishari, said: “Saudi Aramco announced its ambition to achieve zero neutrality in greenhouse gas emissions in Scope 1 and 2 of its wholly owned and operated facilities by 2050. Saudi Aramco sees many opportunities to develop New low carbon energy business.”

He added, “Innovative, widespread technologies can contribute to reducing the costs of reducing carbon emissions, and we are investing in their development through research and development programs, investment capital, and the use of technology.” We believe that Aerocell, Spiritus and Rondo technologies may have the potential to expand globally, especially in the Middle East region.”

The memorandums of understanding signed by Saudi Aramco are as follows:

Aerocell : Saudi Aramco has entered into an agreement with Aerocell to enhance the use of its technology in the company’s buildings and other places in the Kingdom. The agreement includes accelerating the adoption of the technology, conducting joint testing of the pipeline network and buildings nationwide, and commercializing it in new applications such as gas pipelines. The two companies also aim to localize the supply chain for “Aerocell” in the Kingdom.

Spiritus : Saudi Aramco has agreed with Spiritus to explore opportunities in the field of direct air capture. Spiritus technology is able to reduce direct air capture costs by reducing energy needs, passively collecting air, and using a special absorbent material to remove carbon with a high efficiency up to ten times greater than current methods.

Rondo :Saudi Aramco signed an agreement with Rondo to explore the use of thermal batteries in Aramco’s global facilities.

This technology aims to reduce operating costs and support emissions reduction initiatives. The two companies have begun engineering studies for the first industrial use of Rondo thermal batteries, which could contribute to reducing emissions from Saudi Aramco facilities, with the potential to expand to 1 gigawatt hour.
