The Imran Khan government of Pakistan got relief. An agreement was reached between the government and Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) on Sunday.
The special thing is that till now it is not clear that no disclosure has been made regarding the two major demands of TLP. First- The French ambassador should be removed from Pakistan. Second- TLP chief Saad Rizvi should be released.
In such a situation, the question is arising that what will happen to the lakhs of TLP workers who have taken to the streets in many cities of the country including Islamabad for both these demands and clashes are taking place with their security forces. According to the government – the terms of the agreement with TLP will be disclosed later.
Qureshi was also present in the press conference on
Sunday and was informed about the agreement reached between the TLP and the government. A press conference was organized for this.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser were also present in it. Religious leader Muneeb-ur-Rehman attended on behalf of TLP.
The most important thing is that it did not give information about the issues on which the agreement has been reached. When the media asked questions on this matter, both the sides only said that the terms of the agreement will be disclosed later. It was also not explicitly stated whether the TLP has ended the agitation or not.
The victory of Islam and the country,
Mufti Muneeb said in response to a question- We do not want to say anything at the moment on the terms of the agreement. But, it must be said that this is a day of victory for both the country and Islam.
The government has shown a positive approach. Appeal to the media to present this matter as positive and corrective. We do not want any harm to the country or the people.
TLP was formed in 2017
TLP was founded by Khadim Hussain Rizvi in 2017. He was an employee of the religious department of Punjab and was a cleric of a mosque in Lahore, but in 2011, when Punjab Police guard Mumtaz Qadri killed Punjab Governor Salman Taseer, he openly supported Qadri. After which he was expelled from the job.
When Qadri was convicted in 2016, the TLP launched nationwide protests over issues of blasphemy and the ‘honour’ of the prophet. Khadim had advocated to blow up France with atom bombs. Khadim Rizvi died in October last year.
The following of Khadim Rizvi was so much in Pakistan that it is said that lakhs of people had gathered for his funeral in Lahore. After the death of Khadim Rizvi, his son Saad Rizvi took over the TLP.
