Washington, Pretr. All over America, the month of October is dedicated to Sanatan Dharma. He is celebrating this month as Hindu Heritage Month. Various programs are being organized in more than 40 cities of 20 states out of 50 states of the country.
People of the Hindu community told that for the first time in America, the programs of Sanatan Dharma are being celebrated on such a wide scale. Elected public representatives have also openly welcomed such initiatives of Hindu communities in the country.
The contribution of the minority Hindu community in America is being seen as a Hindu festival. Hindu organizations have declared October to be always celebrated as ‘Hindu Heritage Month’ by issuing a release.
Hindus around the world celebrate Navratri, Dussehra, Durga Puja and Deepawali in the month of October and its surroundings. Therefore, some Hindu organizations settled in America have decided to celebrate this month as ‘Hindu Heritage Month’.
From yoga to food, charity for festivals, dance-music and discussions on the beliefs of Hinduism, programs are being organized throughout the month. All the customs which are considered to be the identity of the Hindu community are being followed wholeheartedly by the people.
The most popular Hindu festivals include the US states of Texas, Ohio, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Georgia, Florida, Minnesota, Virginia, Nevada, Mississippi, Delaware, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Hampshire, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Missouri, Indiana and Michigan. Huh.
Troy in Michigan, Irvine in California and Irving and Houston in Texas have formally recognized October as ‘Hindu Heritage Month’. Given the active participation of Hindus in American society, they are highly respected and admired.
US lawmaker Troy Balderson has praised the people of the Hindu community living in America in an open letter. At the same time, MP Raja Krishnamurthy has termed Sanatan Dharma as a unique multidimensional religion. Similarly, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker said that the contribution of the colorful Hindu community is highly valued in the Commonwealth.
Hindu leader Bindu Patel thanked the people of the city of Irving and said that they have got everyone’s support for ‘Hindu Virasat Month’. He said that the work of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) has also increased the faith of the local people in Sanatan Dharma. The tradition of feeding food is being followed in the form of ‘Seva Deepawali’.
HSS activist Rajender Sandadi, who lives in Troy, said that in the meeting held in the city hall, everyone thanked the people of the Hindu community for their contribution. He said that this year Diwali would fall in the first week of November, but the flow of enthusiasm of this month would continue till next month.
