It’s not apples and oranges to gadget maker Apple.

The Silicon Valley tech giant is seeking to block a fledgling meal-prep company from using a pear logo by arguing that the fruity design is too similar to its iconic apple mark.

Prepear’s logo, which features a pear with a leaf on top, “readily calls to mind Apple’s famous Apple Logo and creates a similar commercial impression,” the tech giant said in a court filing, adding that the similarities will “cause the ordinary consumer to believe” that Prepear is “affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.”

Super Healthy Kids — the company behind the Prepear app, which lets people store recipes and create meal plans — has accused Apple of “abusing their position of power by going after small businesses like ours who are already struggling due to the effects of Covid-19.”

The startup started a Change.org campaign over the weekend with the hopes of getting Apple to back off, saying that it has had to lay off an employee due to the legal fees it has already incurred.

“It is a very terrifying experience to be legally attacked by one of the largest companies in the world, even when we have clearly done nothing wrong,” the campaign, which already has more than 25,000 signatures, reads.

Super Healthy Kids said that it will fight Apple “not only to keep our logo, but to send a message to big tech companies that bullying small businesses has consequences.”

A representative for Apple did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
