Sunita Williams Updates: In June, Indian-origin American astronaut Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore flew from space. Both were to return to Earth within 10 days, but even after more than two months, Sunita Williams’ return to Earth has not been ensured.

NASA has adopted all the tricks but the technical problem of the aircraft has not been resolved yet. Now NASA has released a new update on this entire incident. NASA officials said that at present the return of both the astronauts to Earth has been postponed till this year. But, by February 2025, they will be brought to Earth with the help of billionaire businessman Elon Musk’s rocket SpaceX.

NASA officials said other options are being considered to bring Sunita Williams and Wilmore back to Earth from the International Space Center besides Starliner. NASA has set a target that astronauts can return on one of SpaceX’s Crew Dragon options by February 2025. This is because it is still unsafe to bring passengers back to Earth by Starliner.

NASA prepared a plan

Sunita Williams and Wilmore have been stranded at the International Space Center since June 6, but technical glitches occurred after helium gas leaked in the plane and their return was postponed. Now efforts are being made to bring back both the passengers.

NASA is working on several return options, including using the SpaceX Crew Dragon. The Crew Dragon capsule will be able to bring Butch Wilmore, Sunita Williams and their team back to Earth in February 2025. All nine astronauts are currently safe at the Space Center and have enough food and supplies. Returning everyone to Earth as soon as possible is NASA’s biggest challenge.

Sunita Williams’ third mission in space

The US space agency said that Williams is one of the most experienced passengers of our team. She is on her third space mission. The NASA team is currently studying many things in the ISS so that the lack of gravity can be overcome while watering and nurturing the plants being grown in space. This task is like gardening in space.
