Jeff Bezos is even richer, once again.
The richest man in the world’s wealth reached an estimated $202 billion, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index.
Bezo’s wealth has increased $57 billion since May.
In response to Bezos reaching the benchmark, protesters Thursday built a guillotine in front of his Washington residence, the Washington Examiner first reported.
The protest, which was led by former employee Chris Smalls, demanded a $30 minimum wage for Amazon workers.
Amazon, which has seen its shares rise 80% so far this year, has been one of multiple driving forces for the S&P 500 index to recently reach an all-time high – even during a recession.
According to Comparisun, a company which allows small- to medium-sized firms to compare different business products, Bezos will likely be the world’s first trillionaire.
Their projection shows Bezos reaching trillionaire status by 2026. The company said their projection is based on taking the average percentage of yearly growth over the past five years and applying it to future years.
