Bangladesh Foreign Minister claims – no temple was damaged in communal violence

Dhaka, ANI. Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen has given a statement regarding the attack on the temples here in the past. The External Affairs Minister claimed that there was no damage to any temple during this period.

He said that during this time one death was normal while one person died after jumping into the pond. Not only this, the minister has further claimed that no one was raped during this period.

Minister said – 6 people died in Durga Puja violence

Abdul Momen said that only six people had died during the communal violence in Bangladesh in the past. Of these, 4 people were Muslims. Also, 2 Hindus were killed during the encounter.

However, the minister believes that during this time the idols of the deities had reached Nakusan. He also said that the violence was unfortunate and should not have happened. During this, the government took immediate action. The minister further said that 20 houses were burnt in the violence during this period, which are now being rebuilt.

He also said that the perpetrators of this incident have been arrested. He also said that the victims have got compensation and more compensation is being given to all. Let us tell you that during the Durga Puja in Bangladesh, many types of news are going on in the media about the violence in the pandals and temples.

In such a situation, the Foreign Minister here has issued a statement calling all these news as part of propaganda.

Earlier, M. Hasan Mahmood on Thursday claimed that pro-Pakistan elements opposing the 1971 Liberation War wanted to spread communal unrest in his country. At the same time, the minister had said that strict action has been taken against those involved in the recent communal violence. At the same time, he said that secularism would continue to be the guide for the country and its constitution.
