Coronavirus: Nepal scared by India’s Covid situation, high alert issued on the border

Coronavirus in World: The total number of patients in Nepal has reached 2 lakh 76 thousand 389, including new infected. Out of the total cases, 2 lakh 72 thousand 187 people have returned home after recovering.

Kathmandu Nepal is also worried about the increase in Coronavirus cases in India. On Wednesday, the neighboring country has issued a high alert at the transit points on the border. Strict checking is being done at the transit points in 8 districts of province 2 of the country. Armed Police Force has given this information. The special thing is that from the beginning of March, there was an increase in Covid cases in India.

The province shares a 464 km long border with India from Saptari district in the east to Parsa district in the west. APF has 67 border outposts and 35 forwarding operating bases. APF personnel have been deployed at these places. Also, a thorough investigation has been ordered for people entering Nepal from India through transit points. Nepal’s name is also included in the countries receiving vaccine from India.

Talking to reporters, APF DIG Chandra Prakash Gautam said that he has directed the border outposts to set up health desks at transit points. In addition, all 8 districts have also been asked to work together with local governments and Covid-19 Management Committee. It has been decided to set up health desks and conduct intensive investigations in the border areas.

The committee has appealed to the general public not to rush. During the Holi celebration, citizens have been asked not to gather in groups of more than 25. The special thing is that the Ministry of Population and Health has confirmed 145 new cases in the last 24 hours. Including the new infected, the total number of patients in the country has reached 2 lakh 76 thousand 389. Out of the total cases, 2 lakh 72 thousand 187 people have returned home after recovering. According to the ministry’s data, 3020 patients have died. There are currently 1182 active cases in the country.
