Joe Biden spoke to the President of France on the phone on Ukraine crisis, the White House informed

US President Joe Biden has spoken to French President Emmanuel Macron on the phone amid fears that Ukraine may be attacked by Russia. The White House has given information about the talks between the two leaders.

US President Joe Biden spoke to his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on the phone on Wednesday regarding the ongoing tensions along the Ukrainian border. Information about this conversation between the two leaders has been given by the White House.

“The two leaders agreed on their support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” the White House said. The White House said the US and France reviewed imposing heavy economic costs on Russia in the event of an attack on Ukraine. The press release further stated that President Biden and President Macron agreed that their teams would remain in touch on these issues. There will also be consultations with NATO allies and EU allies.

Additional forces will be deployed in Poland, Germany and Romania

The US Department of Defense announced on Wednesday that additional US forces would be deployed in Poland, Germany and Romania over the next few days.

A Pentagon spokesman said Joe Biden is sending about 2,000 troops to Poland and Germany from Fort Bragg in North Carolina this week in response to the Ukraine crisis. He said that most of the 2,000 soldiers would be deployed in Poland and their deployment would be temporary.
