Supporters of US Vice President Kamala Harris have broken attendance records on Zoom. In less than 90 minutes, the Democratic presidential candidate has raised more than $2 million. Despite glitches, more than 1,64,000 people have participated in the largest Zoom meeting so far.

This Zoom fundraising event is being called ‘White Women: Answer the Call’. Popular American celebrities like Pink and Connie Britton also participated in it. This record-breaking call faced technical difficulties. Due to this, some attendees had to go to the YouTube livestream.

The fundraiser was started by comedian Carol Leaf with a donation of $500,000. On the other hand, Pink emphasized the importance of women’s voices in the political field. This was the third massive Zoom call for Harris. It comes at a time when she aims to garner support and strengthen her position as the Democratic candidate. The previous Zoom call involved 44,000 black women and 50 thousand black men. These events raised $1.5 million and $1.3 million respectively.
