Moscow:  Ministry of Defense spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said that more than 10,000 Russian soldiers have been vaccinated against the Corona virus. It was reported that no registration has been done to receive Sputnik V vaccine. “The Russian Ministry of Defense has received 14,500 vaccines, with more than 10,000 soldiers vaccinated as of December 10,” Konashenkov said. The spokesman said that the successful clinical trials and the fact that all soldiers have developed immunity after vaccination guarantee the safety and efficacy of Sputnik V.

He said that there was agreement on the introduction of Sputnik V vaccine by the soldiers. As part of the plan, approved by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, about 100,000 servicemen are to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by the end of the year. According to a Ministry of Defense spokesman, 300 brigades of military doctors have been formed to ensure vaccination.

Let us tell you that within three days of President Vladimir Putin’s order, a public vaccination campaign to protect against the Kovid-19 epidemic started in Russia on Saturday last week. First, doctors, teachers and other people who are facing high risk will be given the vaccine, it was reported. At the same time, Russia has become the first country in the world to introduce vaccination to protect against Kovid. Putin ordered the early introduction of vaccination in view of the huge increase in cases of corona infection in the country. Russia has begun this vaccination campaign before the completion of the trial period of the self-developed vaccine Sputnik V. There are currently 2 million doses of the vaccine ready in Russia.
