Omicron: Omicron variant of Corona spread in 108 countries, 1.5 lakh cases came in 1 month

New Delhi. Coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly all over the world. More than 1 lakh new corona cases (Covid 19) are coming out daily in Britain. At the same time, Omicron, a new variant of the corona virus found in South Africa last month, is also spreading continuously. Within a month, thousands of people have been infected by this. This series continues. Taking its horrific form, the governments of many countries have also had to impose restrictions. These also include travel restrictions.

Omicron is spreading so fast that in just one month it has spread to 108 countries. In this one month, so far 1,51,368 cases have been reported in the world of this Omicron. Also, 26 people have died due to this so far. The first case of Omicron was reported in South Africa on 24 November. The World Health Organization has also told Omicron a matter of concern. Experts say that it has more number of mutations than any other. Due to this it is spreading rapidly.

South Africa
The delta variant was responsible for only 2 percent of new cases in South Africa in early May. Which increased to 89 percent by July 12. On the other hand, the first case of Omicron was detected on 24 November and by 13 December it has become a major variant in South Africa. The data shows that there are 95 percent of Omicron cases in the country.

Britain
As of April 5, only 0.10 percent of coronavirus cases in the UK were due to the delta variant, which increased to 74 percent by the end of May. As of June, the delta variant was the cause of up to 90 percent of Kovid-19 cases. Now the corona virus infection in Britain has broken the record within a month due to Omicron. In Britain, on December 24, 1,22,186 cases were reported in Britain. These are the highest ever.

America
The delta variant was the cause of 0.31 percent of all coronavirus cases in the US as of April 19. By the end of June, this figure had increased to 50 percent. A month later, till the end of July, the delta variant of Corona was considered responsible for 90 percent of the cases. Meanwhile, the rate of infection in America has increased rapidly since Omicron came to the fore in the country.

India
By the end of December 2020, cases of Delta variants started coming to the fore in India. In the first month, only 0.73 per cent of the total cases were of the delta variant, but Omicron has spread to 17 states in just 22 days. The first case of Omicron was reported in India on December 2 and there are 358 cases of this variant in the country. India has not reported any death from this so far.
