Starvation conditions are being created. Pakistan Rupee is continuously falling. The economy has reached an all-time low. The most shocking figure is that of eggs.
Record inflation, debt crunch, crumbling economy and starvation … something like Imran Khan’s new Pakistan. More than 25 percent of the population is below the poverty line. Corona’s hit and cold havoc … These are the most different inflation injuries. How will an egg cost 30 rupees, sugar cost 104 rupees, ginger 1000 rupees kilograms? All this is in the same Pakistan where Imran Khan pats his back in the name of reducing the price of essential commodities. But the reality is far away. Inflation has broken all records.
Starvation conditions are being created. Pakistan Rupee is continuously falling. The economy has reached an all-time low. The most shocking figure is that of eggs. According to Pakistan newspaper The Dawn, due to increased demand in winter in most parts of the country, the price of eggs has reached 350 Pakistani rupees per dozen. Large population of Pakistan uses eggs in food. However, if an egg costs 30 rupees, it is difficult to survive.
Wheat broke all records
The people of Pakistan have to think even to eat bread. This year, the price of wheat in Pakistan has broken records. 40 kg wheat katta is being sold here for 2400 rupees. Means 60 rupees kg. Last December, the situation in the country started to look very bad, when the price of wheat reached Rs 2000 per 40 kg. This record was also broken in October this year. This is nothing short of a nightmare for a Pakistan-facing food shortage. Pakistan, which previously exported onions to the world, is now importing itself to reduce onion prices. To reduce the price of flour and sugar, the Imran Khan cabinet is constantly meeting.
People will pay the brunt of gas crisis
Even in inflation, everything is still being bought. But, it will be difficult to arrange gas for baking bread. In fact, in the new year, Pakistan will also have to face the gas crisis. Sui Northern, a gas supply company in the country, is facing a shortage of 500 million standard cubic feet of gas per day. In such a situation, the company will have no option but to stop gas supply. Actually, the Imran Khan government did not buy gas in time, the cost of which now the country’s people may have to suffer.
The stove will not burn even …
According to local media, between 4 to 20 January, the shortage of gas will be the highest, due to which people may face a lot of trouble. Sui Northern will face gas shortage of 500 million standard cubic feet per day in the next few days. In view of this, the company can stop the gas supply to the power sector, but even this will not remove the problem of the domestic consumers. That is, on the occasion of New Year in Pakistan, the stove will not burn in the homes of most people.
