TikTok trends are more than just dance moves and funny videos. Now, users are getting their fashion inspiration right from their “For You” pages.
The latest fashion trend is the unique revamping of the George Men’s “Regular Fit” jeans, available for only $10.44 at Walmart, otherwise known to TikTokkers as the infamous #WalmartJeans.
Using different alteration methods, the women of TikTok are fashioning the baggy men’s denim to look up-cycled and ’90s vintage. Some users are altering their pair with unique sewing and cinching techniques, or destroying the denim to make it look distressed. Others are using shoelaces to tighten the waist without physically altering the pants.
For under $11, there isn’t much on the line when it comes to attempting this new TikTok trend, even for people who may not be DIY fashion-inclined. Plus, with three different washes available at Walmart, there’s a shade of denim for any outfit.
