US stockpiles push oil prices lower

Oil prices fell today,After reports revealed a rise in stocksCrude oilAmerican.

Brent crude futures fell 9 cents to $77.11 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate crude fell 12 cents to settle at $73.05 a barrel.

U.S. crude oil inventories rose by 347,000 barrels last week, while gasoline and distillate inventories fell sharply by 1.043 million barrels and 2.247 million barrels, respectively, according to data from the American Petroleum Institute.
