Washington: China is not leaving any chance to clamp down on the Uygar Muslims living here. This time China has taken help of its company Alibaba, which has developed a software that identifies the person by creating a 3D image of the face. This has been revealed in the New York Times report. According to the newspaper report, Alibaba companies have served to fulfill China’s intention by giving them the option of using face recognition software.

In this report, it has been said that the Chinese company Alibaba is now behaving differently from the Uygar Muslims living there. It is used by China to reach Uygur Muslims. The Chinese government and company are not missing out on dealing with these people. The NYT report cited the company’s website. It said that by going to the company’s cloud computing service, not only Uyigars but other minorities can be identified through this software through photographs and videos. In this regard, the identity of Uygur and special ethnic minorities has been removed from the website of IPVM Alibaba, a US research company. This research company has shared this report with the New York Times.

News agency AFP should seek information from the Alibaba company in this regard, but the company flatly refused to comment on it. According to the NYT, Alibaba selected a user for testing this software. After this, its use was never again offered. The IPVM company itself had informed that the Chinese company Huawei is developing a face recognition software. This software will be able to identify Uygars in an automated way and can also share their information with the police. However, after the report came out, Huawei denied the allegations of developing such software.

Significantly, the Chinese government has been tightening its grip on Uigars living here for a long time. In the past few years, Uygur Muslims living in Xinjiang province have been accused of forcibly keeping them in camps, which the Chinese government has been describing as concocted. The Chinese government has been calling these camps as reform centers or re-education camps and vocational training centers. However, human rights activists all over the world have alleged that these people have been forced into this place.

According to these activists, China has kept about one million Uygar Muslims hostage in this way. Let us tell you that in the year 2018, China also broke mosques in this province and put many Uygars in jails. Many types of restrictions were also imposed on these people here. Let us tell you that Xinjiang is a remote area of northwest China where a large number of Uygar Muslims live.
