Joe Biden named Bharatvanshi Vedanta Patel as Assistant Press Secretary

America’s newly-elected President Joe Biden is constantly working to build his team. In this episode, he announced additional members of the White House communications and press staff. He has named Indian-American Vedanta Patel as assistant press secretary.

Patel is currently Biden’s senior spokesman and has been a part of Biden’s election campaign. He has also served as the Director of Indian Communications.

Patel served as Nevada and Western primary-state communications director during Biden’s primary campaign during the presidential election. Prior to this, she served on the Democratic National Committee as Western Regional Press Secretary and Communications Director of Congress Mike Honda, Communications Director of Indian-American Congresswoman Pramila Jaipal.

Born in India and born in California, Patel is a graduate of the University of California-Riverside and the University of Florida.
