WORLD: Pakistan engaged in taking loan from Russia for pipeline project, important talks will start from today

Islamabad (ANI). Four-day talks are starting from today on loan for an important project between Pakistan and Russia. The purpose of this talks is to finalize the shareholding agreement for the strategic project.

According to a government document, this project is linked to the Pakistan Stream Gas Pipeline. Changes will be made in the Inter-Governmental Agreement to be done under this project.

According to the information, 74 percent participation in this project is from Pakistan and 26 percent of Russia. Explain that this pipeline is about 1040 km long. ANI quoted the newspaper report as saying that the talks have been confirmed by the Petroleum Secretary.

The Imran Khan government of Pakistan also plans to get a loan from Russia’s Exim Bank. Apart from this, Pakistan is also trying to take loan from Russia for other financial projects. After America withdrew in this regard, now Pakistan hopes from Russia that it will provide them loans.

This money will be used to buy pipelines and compressors. For this, Pakistan has also asked to increase the participation of Russia in this project from 26 percent to 49 percent. Through this, Pakistan will not only be able to raise funds but will also be able to meet its financial needs.

Significantly, the economic condition of Pakistan is very bad. In the past, Pakistan had tried to take a loan from the World Bank but this effort could not be successful. Pakistan is constantly trying to raise funds for its financial needs.

It has already taken a lot of debt from China. At the same time, it is becoming very difficult to repay the loan taken from UAE. Pakistan has already taken a lot of debt from Saudi Arabia as well.
