In Pakistan (Pakistan), the opposition has surrounded the government of Imran Khan over the rice received in Zakat (donation) from Saudi Arabia.

Islamabad Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who arrived in Saudi Arabia on a three-day visit, has returned to his country. On his visit, the people of Pakistan including the opposition are also raising questions. The Saudi government has donated 19,032 sacks of rice to Pakistan. Pakistan’s opposition is calling it insult to our country. President of Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the amount of rice Imran brought from Saudi Arabia, he spent more money on his journey.

Imran took a dozen ministers and friends along with him on this trip. However, the Imran government is describing this visit as a major achievement. Bhutto has also questioned the timing of Saudi Arabia’s donation. He said that Saudi has given this help to Pakistan as zakat or fitra. He said that Imran Khan had worked hard to see this day in the field of politics for 22 years. He should have thought before taking such help for nuclear armed country.

Ministers and officials of the Imran government have come on the defensive after the opposition’s attack. His special advisor Tahir Ashrafi said that Pakistan has already taken such help from Saudi for the poor. He said that Saudi had decided to donate rice sacks on this tour a month in advance. Imran also met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) during his three-day tour. Discussions were held to improve the bilateral relationship between the two.
