Washington: On Wednesday, Democrats will vote for impeachment against US President Donald Trump for his role in inciting violence in the Capitol. House speaker Nancy Pelosi has confirmed this.

In a letter to Democrats, Pence said that we will work promptly in protecting the American Constitution and democracy. He further wrote that this act of Trump represents an imminent threat to both the US Constitution and democracy. He said that there is an urgent need for action on this. He said that in Wednesday’s violence it has been proven that Trump encouraged his supporters to fight against the election results as Congress was certifying Biden’s victory in the November vote. His Republican Party will certainly be in the grip of this process of impeachment.

Draft charges against trump

The ground of impeachment against President Donald Trump has been prepared. The charges against Trump have been drafted. The draft has been signed by 190 Democrat lawmakers, but no MP from Trump’s Republican Party has endorsed it yet. The motion for impeachment can be moved on Monday in the House of Representatives, the lower house of parliament. Democrats are in the majority in this House. House of Representatives member Ted Liu said in a tweet that party members in the House will present a motion for impeachment on Monday. The draft prepared in this regard was signed by 190 Democrat MPs by Saturday night. No Republican has signed it yet.

Republican Party in breath due to impeachment

The Republican Party is in disarray over the impeachment run by the Democratic Party. Some Republican leaders are strongly against Trump for capital violence. Republican top senator Pat Toomey has sharply criticized Trump supporters’ attack on Parliament. He said that I believe that Trump had committed an impeachment offense. However, he did not clarify whether he would vote to remove Trump from the presidency if a motion comes to the Senate. Meanwhile, Vice President Mike Pence has indicated that he will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the country’s newly elected President Joe Biden and newly-elected Vice President Kamala Harris on 20 January. It is clear from this that he is not with Donald Trump in this case. Explain that Trump had refused to attend the January 20 event.
