Canberra:  A virtual meeting was held on Friday between senior Australian officials and foreign ministers of India, US and Japan. In October, a quad meeting was held in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, to review the issues agreed upon. In 2021, regular ministerial meetings will continue between the Quad colleagues with contact with senior officials.

The countries in the Quad Group are Japan (Japan), India (India), Australia (Australia) and the US. The interest of these countries is one. In the year 2017, these four countries formed the Quad to form a pending proposal to curb China’s aggressive behavior in the Indian Pacific. America and India are two big democratic countries and both are working to check China’s expansionist policies. Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Brunei and Taiwan are also opposing this aggressive attitude of China. The first meeting of the foreign ministers of the four countries included in the Quad Group was held in New York City in 2019.
